Americans continue to support Ukraine despite pre-election differences - State Department

Despite the dubious statements about Ukraine that come from some Republicans, the people of the United States and Congress maintain strong support for Ukrainians.
That's according to U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
The American people strongly support further aid to Ukraine, he said. The Americans strongly support the efforts that will allow and help Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression, he added.
He noted that this also applies to both parties in the U.S. Congress.
According to Miller, even after there was a delay in the passage of the bill with the aid package for Ukraine, both houses eventually supported it with an overwhelming majority.
