Russian forces commit nearly 46,400 war crimes in Ukraine since war-start

Since the Russian invasion on February 24, Ukrainian prosecutors have documented 46,432 war crimes.

That’s according to the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office, Ukrinform reports.

In total, since start of the Russian full-scale war on Ukraine, 46,432 crimes of aggression and war crimes have been registered (violation of the laws and customs of war, planning, preparing, launching and waging an aggressive war, propaganda of war, and others).

In addition, 18,864 crimes against the national security of Ukraine were documented (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, treason, collaborative activity, aiding and abetting the aggressor state, sabotage, etc.).

The PGO notes that 627 Russian military and state officials – ministers, lawmakers, commanders, law enforcers, and propagandists – are now deemed as suspects in major inquiries into the Russian aggression toward Ukraine.

As reported earlier, Latvia’s President Egils Levits supported the idea of ​​creating a special tribunal to investigate Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine.
