He told this to reporters at the White House, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Of course, they would (have a seat at the negotiating table – ed.), I mean they’re part of it,” said Trump when asked whether Ukraine would be included in the negotiation process.
He called it a “very interesting situation” when many players should be involved. “But the Ukraine war has to end,” he emphasized.

“Somebody said, oh, I should’ve called Zelensky first. I don’t think so. I mean, we have to find out whether Russia wants to make a deal. I know that Zelensky wants to make a deal, because he told me that. But I now know that Russia wants to make a deal,” he said.
As reported, the day before, Donald Trump avoided answering the question of whether Ukraine should be a full participant in negotiations to end Russia’s war. Following that, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine would not accept any bilateral peace talks without Ukraine's participation. In addition, it is important for Ukraine to have European partners at the negotiating table.
