In Mykolaiv region, the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) and the National Police exposed a pro-Russian agitator who called the Maidan Revolution a “state coup” and justified Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, the SSU Office in Mykolaiv region reported this on Telegram.

“The Security Service and the National Police documented the subversive activities of a hostile agitator who spread fakes and Kremlin narratives about the war in Ukraine. The individual was identified as a 34-year-old resident of the town of Pivdennoukrainsk,” the statement said.

On his TikTok and YouTube pages, the man published videos in which he justified Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.

During online streams, he spread anti-Ukrainian narratives and repeated Russian propaganda claims — including the assertion that “the Maidan was a coup and a seizure of power.”

Through such actions, the suspect sought to destabilize the internal political situation in the region, thereby assisting the aggressor state in its war against Ukraine.

During searches at his home, law enforcement officers found mobile phones containing evidence of his criminal activity. A forensic linguistic examination initiated by the Security Service confirmed the fact of his information-based subversive activity.

The suspect has been formally charged under Part 3 of Article 436-2 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code (justification, recognition as lawful, or denial of Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, and glorification of its participants).

He faces up to eight years in prison with confiscation of property.

As Ukrinform previously reported, the Security Service of Ukraine also exposed a Mykolaiv entrepreneur who had attempted to sell critical ship artillery components to Russia.
