Funding will be increased for brigades and corps that are on the front line.

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this in a video address, according to Ukrinform.

"We are also actively preparing today the Staff meeting and several other formats with the military, with the Minister of Defense, the Office team, following a trip to the Donetsk and Dnipro regions this week. There were questions from brigades regarding decisions that, unfortunately, are not fully working. There were also comments from battalion commanders about weapons supply, support programs. We will increase funding for the brigades, will increase funding for the corps that are on the front line, in the fiercest battles," Zelensky said.

He also added that government officials must expand the military's ability to purchase necessary equipment, machinery, and components.

"There are particularly many questions regarding the decommissioning of property. We must solve all of them. Also had a detailed discussion on the new contract-based system of service in our army – all of this is being worked out, and must be clear details for our soldiers," Zelensky said.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Zelensky stated that consultations are underway regarding specific sums and mechanisms for financing the new contract system for servicemen.
