Russia’s war casualty toll in Ukraine up by 1,180 over past day

The total combat losses of Russian forces since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, from February 24, 2022, to December 29, 2025, are estimated at around 1,205,690 personnel, including 1,180 in the past 24 hours.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

Additionally, Russian equipment losses include: 11,472 (+3) tanks, 23,837 (+6) armored combat vehicles, 35,570 (+13) artillery systems, 1,581 (+0) MLRS (multiple launch rocket systems), 1,264 (+0) air defense systems, 434 (+0) aircraft, 347 (+0) helicopters, 96,532 (+305) operational-tactical UAVs, 4,136 (+0) cruise missiles, 28 (+0) warships/boats, 2 (+0) submarines, 71,891 (+113) vehicles and fuel tankers, 4,030 (+1) pieces of specialized equipment.

These figures are being updated continuously.

As Ukrinform reported, on December 28, by 22:00, Ukrainian Defense Forces recorded 186 combat clashes with Russian forces on the frontlines, including 45 attempted enemy attacks in the Pokrovsk sector.
