Russian troops have opened fire on Donetsk Region 29 times over the past day.

The relevant statement was made by the National Police of Ukraine on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Eighteen settlements came under enemy fire. Russian invaders struck the city of Avdiivka eight times. The enemy also fired at such settlements as Kurakhove, Krasnohorivka, Chasiv Yar, Sloviansk, Zalizne, Toretsk, Kurdiumivka, New York, Ocheretyne, Raihorodok, Ivanopillia, Nelipivka, Novoselivka Persha, Pervomaiske, Pryshyb, Fedorivka, Khrestyshche. Casualties among civilians were reported

Russians used the S-300 surface-to-air missile systems, Grad and Uragan multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), artillery and tanks.

A total of 61 civilian objects were damaged and destroyed, including 40 residential houses (namely, four apartment blocks), two schools, coke and chemical plant, power substation, railway, administrative buildings, household buildings, ore-processing plant, etc.
