Zmiinyi Island cleansed of invaders’ weapons, equipment

The units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine completed the military operation to cleanse Zmiinyi (Snake) Island of the equipment and weapons of the Russian invaders who had fled to the temporarily occupied Crimea.

"In Odesa city and the region, today is the day of mourning for those killed in the enemy's terrorist missile strike. But the enemy continues to attack the region with cruise missiles: late in the evening, a Ukrainian air defense unit destroyed a Kh-31 missile launched by an enemy aircraft from the Black Sea. The air raid sirens sounded again," Serhii Bratchuk, the Spokesperson of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, posted on Telegram.

According to him, the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine completed the military operation to cleanse Zmiinyi (Snake) Island of the equipment and weapons of the Russian invaders who had fled to the temporarily occupied Crimea.

In particular, the Ukrainian troops destroyed Russian Grad MLRS, Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft gun and missile system, three armored and motor vehicles, a fuel tank, and a hideout of other equipment.

As Bratchuk added, two enemy missile ships with a dozen cruise missiles on board, as well as three large landing ships are currently on alert in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.
