Ukrainians create charitable NFT collection to raise funds for army

An initiative group from Ukraine, which includes IT entrepreneurs, art critics, artists and media managers, has created the NFT collection artWARks to raise funds for charitable assistance to the Ukrainian army.
According to Ukrinform, one of the founders of the collection, Ruslan Nonka, announced this on Facebook.

According to him, the artWARks collection includes a collection of works dedicated to the war for the last eight years. This project is charitable: all proceeds from the sale will be spent on charitable assistance to the Come Back Alive Foundation and other foundations.

Every day the collection will be supplemented by new authors and their works.

Nonka also published an appeal by artists. "We, independent Ukrainian artists, have been watching Russia's war against Ukraine for eight years. Our works reflect the human side of this senseless tragedy, because we are its eyewitnesses, it is happening to us and our closest people. Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine has made this war the No. 1 news in the world only eight days ago. We have been living with it every day. For eight years now," the authors of the appeal said on March 4.

They said they had united to bring their views on the war to the widest possible audience in the world and to raise funds for the heroic Ukrainian army and civilians affected by Russia's crimes.

On February 24, 2022, Russian President Putin launched a large-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying infrastructure and residential areas in Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple launch rocket systems and ballistic missiles.

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.

The EU imposed a powerful package of sanctions against Russia as an aggressor country, whose international isolation is growing every day. The International Criminal Court has begun documenting and investigating Russia's war crimes in Ukraine.
