Zelensky thanks US for new military aid package

Volodymyr Zelensky published the corresponding appeal on the X network, Ukrinform reports.

"I am grateful to Joe Biden, both parties of Congress and the entire American people for the military assistance packages," he wrote.

The President emphasized that additional air defense equipment, artillery, anti-tank weapons and other critical items, as well as funds for the purchase of Patriot and NASAMS missiles, will strengthen our soldiers and increase the capabilities of the Armed Forces on the battlefield.

"We look forward to further assistance from the United States, which will strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities and enable us to effectively counter Russian aggression and protect our people from Russian terror," the head of state emphasized.

As reported, on Wednesday, the United States government announced a significant new package of defense assistance to Ukraine, which will include missiles for HIMARS systems, air defense interceptors, artillery shells and other weapons.
