President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine has thanked his American counterpart, President Joseph Biden, for the latest defense aid package for Ukraine, noting that powerful weapons will save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers.
The Ukrainian leader issued the statement via Twitter, Ukrinform reports
"I thank US President Joseph Biden for the new package of defense aid for Ukraine. Critically important powerful weapons will save the lives of our soldiers and speed up the liberation of our land from the Russian aggressor. I appreciate the strategic friendship between our peoples. Together to victory!" noted Zelensky.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on July 22, Joe Biden’s Administration announced a new package of defense aid to Ukraine in the amount of up to $175 million, which will include new arms and training for the Ukrainian military.
