War update: 133 clashes on frontline, 50 assaults repelled in Pokrovsk sector

There have been 133 combat engagements along the front line today. In the Pokrovsk sector alone, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 50 enemy assaults, eliminating 203 Russian occupiers.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an evening update on Facebook as of 22:00 on May 12, 2025, according to Ukrinform.

Since the beginning of the day, a total of 133 combat clashes have occurred. Russian invaders launched 45 airstrikes, dropping 79 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, they deployed 1,140 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,987 attacks at Ukrainian positions and populated areas.

In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy launched five assaults near Vovchansk and Krasne Pershe. An airstrike targeted the area around Dvorichna.

In the Kupiansk sector, the Russians attacked toward Pishchane, Hlushkivka, and Novoosynove; the Ukrainian defenders repelled all five enemy advances.

In the Lyman sector, Russian forces carried out 19 attacks near Zelenyi Hai, Hrekivka, Ridkodub, Torske, Kolodiazi, Zelena Dolyna, Nadiya, Lypove, Novomykhailivka, Yampolivka, and toward Olhivka. Three engagements are still ongoing.

In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled six assaults by invading troops near Bilohorivka and Hryhorivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy launched three assaults near Vasiukivka, Chasiv Yar, and toward Bila Hora. One attack was repelled; fighting continues.

In the Toretsk sector, six Russian assaults occurred near Dyliivka, Petrivka, and Toretsk, with two clashes still underway.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the Russians have been attacking throughout the day near Nova Poltavka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Myrnohrad, Udachne, Novoserhiivka, Novooleksandrivka, Kotliarivka, Troitske, Andriivka, Stara Mykolaivka, Malynivka, Yelyzavetivka, and towards Novomykolaivka, Muravka, Oleksiivka, Zoria, and Popov Yar. The Ukrainian defenders repelled 50 assault actions. Airstrikes hit Pokrovsk, Poltavka, Illinivka, and Sukhyi Yar.

According to preliminary reports, 203 enemy troops were eliminated in this sector, of whom 128 were killed. Ukrainian forces destroyed two armored vehicles, five trucks, ten motorcycles, three UAVs, a satellite communication terminal, a trench-based electronic warfare system, and a Murom-M surveillance system. Additionally, two motorcycles and one artillery system were damaged.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the enemy attempted 15 assaults near Kostiantynopil, Bahatyr, Rozdolne, Zelenyi Hai, Novosilky, and toward Shevchenko. Three engagements are still underway. Airstrikes hit Oleksiivka, Voskresenka, and Novodarivka.

In the Huliaipole sector, no offensive actions were recorded, but airstrikes hit Huliaipole and Vysoke.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy launched six assaults near Mala Tokmachka, Mali Shcherbaky, and toward Pavlivka. All attacks were repelled. Airstrikes hit Pavlivka and Novoyakovlivka.

In the Prydniprovske sector, Russian forces attacked four times with no success. An airstrike hit Kozatske.

In the Kursk sector, nine enemy attacks were recorded today, with one still ongoing. The enemy conducted 13 airstrikes, dropping 14 guided aerial bombs, and carried out 228 artillery strikes, including eight from MLRS.

As Ukrinform previously reported, President Zelensky today received a briefing from Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi on the situation at the front.
