The Ukrainian forces continue to restrain the offensive of Russian troops in the south-eastern direction.

That’s according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Ukrinform reports.

As of 06:00 on March 10, the Ukrainian Defense Forces keep holding back the advance of Russian troops in Donetsk, Slobozhanshchyna and parts of the Tavriya operational areas. They are defending the Ukrainian cities of Kharkiv and Okhtyrka.

The main efforts are focused on preventing the enemy from advancing in the south-eastern direction.

The circular defense of Mariupol is underway, as well as the efforts to cover the state border with Belarus.

In the Sivershchyna area, Ukrainian forces are defending the city of Chernihiv.

Measures are being taken to deter the enemy from advancing toward Kyiv. The group of defense forces and means remains ready to repel the enemy's offensive on the capital, inflicting fire damage on the offensive group of Russian invaders and holding the designated defensive lines.

In the southern direction, the enemy is held back in the directions of Kryvyi Rih, Mykolaiv, Voznesensk and the village of Novovorontsivka, Kherson region.

In other areas, groups of troops are running a stabilization operation and performing territorial defense tasks.

Ukraine’s Air Force are repelling missile and bomb strikes and destroying enemy air attack means, shielding critical infrastructure facilities and groups of troops.

In particular, over the past two days, fighter jets and anti-aircraft missile units have destroyed four Russian Su-25 attack aircraft and two enemy helicopters.

The Russians reduced the pace of their advance, while reports are being received of their “demoralized” personnel. The number desertion and looting cases has increased significantly.

On February 24, on the instructions of President Vladimir Putin, Russia launched a war with Ukraine. For the sixth day in a row, Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure, with their missiles aiming including at apartment blocks.

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and a general mobilization was announced.

Ukraine has officially filed a lawsuit against the Russian Federation with the UN International Criminal Court in The Hague. ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan has already launched an investigation into the situation in Ukraine.
