In Brussels, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, European Council President António Costa, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, during which the parties discussed steps for achieving peace.

The Office of the President stated this in a press release on its website, according to Ukrinform.

During the meeting, the sides discussed diplomatic efforts with the American side aimed at achieving a just and guaranteed peace. Ukraine is interested in ensuring that the peace process remains active, with a clear focus on protecting sovereignty and national interests.

The parties agreed that the framework document must clearly specify the date of Ukraine's accession to the European Union.

They also discussed concrete security guarantees that should form the foundation for the long-term resilience of Ukraine and Europe.

In addition, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andrii Hnatov provided an update on the battlefield situation in the Pokrovsk area and along the entire front line. Particular attention was paid to strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities, including joint production of defense equipment and the expansion of the PURL initiative.
