Another group of children aged 11 to 17 has been rescued from the temporarily occupied left bank of the Kherson region.

As reported by Ukrinform, this was announced on Telegram by Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

“Another rescue operation has taken place from the temporarily occupied left bank of the Kherson region. It was possible to return another group of children to territory controlled by Ukraine. These are boys and girls aged between 11 and 17,” Prokudin wrote.

According to him, among those rescued is an 11-year-old boy who, together with his father, was detained by Russian security forces at a police station for refusing to obtain Russian documents and to send the child to an occupation-run school.

The family of a 16-year-old girl and her 13-year-old sister was also threatened with deprivation of parental rights and fined for refusing to attend a Russian school. Despite this, the girls secretly continued studying online at a Ukrainian school.

The return was carried out within the framework of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative of the President of Ukraine, with the assistance of the charitable organization Save Ukraine.

Currently, the children are staying at Hope and Recovery Centers, where they are receiving psychological support, assistance with documents, accommodation, and care.

As Ukrinform reported, as of December 10, Ukraine has managed to return 1,902 children from Russia and the occupied territories.
