The European Union has provided Ukraine with the first EUR 300 million in emergency macro-financial assistance from a EUR 1.2 billion package.
President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen wrote on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.
“Putin’s war exerts brutal military and economic pressure on the brave people of Ukraine. Europe stands firmly by their side. Today we disbursed €300 million in emergency Macro-Financial Assistance to Ukraine. This is the 1st payment of a €1.2 billion package. So more will come,” She wrote
