President Volodymyr Zelensky said he had offered former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov a leadership position that would allow him to consolidate the state's technological capabilities and drive their further development.

The head of state made the announcement in his evening address, according to Ukrinform.

"I also had a meeting today with Mykhailo Fedorov. I offered Mykhailo a worthy leadership position that would allow him to bring together our country's technological capabilities and ensure their continued development," Zelensky said.

According to the President, the security expertise of Yevhenii Khmara, who is serving as acting Defense Minister, as well as the combat achievements, technological advances, and deep-strike operations carried out by the Alpha unit, "speak for themselves," adding that "this is exactly what is needed within the system of government institutions.”

"We all want the same thing: to defeat the enemy and create the conditions – on the front line and through pressure on Russia – that would allow us to force Russia into peace," the President stressed.
