Meloni to Trump: determination on Iran must be shown also on Ukraine and Gaza

According to Ukrinform, Meloni made this statement to the press following the NATO summit, as reported by ANSA.

 "I told President Donald Trump and said at the summit that the same determination used on the war between Israel and Iran must also be used for two other ceasefires, for Ukraine and for Gaza," she told reporters.

She also noted that the situation in Gaza remains unstable.

Sources told ANSA that Meloni and Trump had a lengthy conversation while seated next to each other at the leaders’ dinner held at the Dutch king’s residence in The Hague during the NATO summit on Tuesday.

According to sources, the leaders of Italy and the United States discussed key international issues, including the situation in the Middle East.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that a full and comprehensive ceasefire had been reached between Israel and Iran.
