Russian forces preparing for protracted conflict in southern Ukraine – experts

The analysts note that Russian forces are focusing on digging in and reinforcing defensive positions in Kharkiv and along the Southern Axis in preparation for Ukrainian counteroffensives.
“Russian forces are likely preparing for a major Ukrainian counteroffensive and protracted conflict on the Southern Axis,” the experts consider.
Earlier, the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine continued to consolidate their new positions and push back the enemy in the southern direction.
Moreover, the Ukrainian troops eliminated 36 invaders and destroyed three Russian tanks in the south over the past day.
