That’s according to the agency’s press service, Ukrinform reports.
In Sloviansk, a 44-year-old shop assistant turned out to be an enemy accomplice. She had come to the attention of the Russians due to her pro-Russian comments across Telegram channels.
To gather sensitive data, the woman would surveil the area and engage in small talk with shoppers.
Another Russian informant was a 45-year-old employee of a utility firm in the village of Krasnotorka, Kramatorsk district.
As the inquiry established, the woman was cooperating remotely with a Russian intelligence liaison officer, an old acquaintance of the suspect from the temporarily captured part of Donetsk region.
On the instructions of her handler, the woman would tip him on the location of checkpoints and routes along which armored vehicles were heading toward the front line.
Both culprits were detained at their homes and will be remanded in custody without bail, facing up to eight years in prison if found guilty in court.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the SBU detained an FSB asset in Khmelnytskyi region who had been handing over the the enemy the coordinates of reserve command posts and administrative buildings of the Armed Forces, as well as producing improvised explosive devices for future terror attacks.
