As reported by an Ukrinform correspondent, Donald Trump said this to reporters in the Oval Office in response to a question about whether he expected Putin to agree to another summit with him in the near future.
“Oh, he’d do it if I wanted it. But I want to do it when we’re ready to make a peace deal,” the U.S. President said.
According to Trump, the United States wants to have good relations not only with Russia, but also with Ukraine and other countries.
“We want to have good relations with Russia, Ukraine, with everybody. It would be great for business. Russia’s got great land, very valuable land. A lot of good things are happening,” Trump said.
He added that he was ready to meet with Putin “immediately” and reiterated: “I want to do it when that war is ending, and I think we will.”
