The US presidential administration says that the vast majority of points in the plan to end the war in Ukraine have already been agreed upon, with only “a few differences” remaining.

This was announced to journalists by White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt, according to Ukrinform's correspondent.

“Everybody inside feels optimistic about what happened and transpired yesterday in Geneva,” she said.

According to Leavitt, both Secretary of State Rubio and Special Envoy Witkoff, together with the entire team, worked through the 28 points of the “peace plan.” The spokeswoman emphasized that it was developed by the United States with the participation of both sides—both Russians and Ukrainians.

“And ultimately, the vast majority of these points have been agreed upon,” the US administration representative assured.

She clarified that the Ukrainian side had worked on the wording. “So we feel as though we're in a very good place,” the spokeswoman continued.

At the same time, she stressed that Washington wants to agree on all points: “And then, of course, we're going to have to make sure the other party in this war the Russians, agree to them as well.”

In response to a request to comment on whether Trump is leaving the deadline for Thursday, Leavitt said: “Respect to the deadline, the President wants to see this deal come together as quickly as possible, and he trusts that his team is doing everything they can to get it over the finish line.”

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine and the United States, following the results of talks between delegations of the two countries in Geneva, agreed to continue working on joint proposals for a peace agreement. The parties confirmed that any future agreement must fully respect Ukraine's sovereignty and ensure a lasting and just peace. Following the negotiations, the parties prepared an updated and revised framework document on peace.
