Trump says war in Ukraine could end 'within weeks'

U.S. President Donald Trump has said that the war in Ukraine could end within weeks if "we are smart."
He made this remark on Monday during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in the Oval Office of the White House, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"I think the war could end soon, within weeks," Trump said.
He directed this question to the French president and, before Macron could respond, added: "I think we could end it within weeks if we are smart."

"We'll keep losing young, beautiful people who shouldn't be dying, and we don't want that. And remember what I said, this could escalate into a third world war, and we don't want that either," Trump added.
