Trump confirms intention to sign minerals deal with Ukraine

On Thursday, US President Donald Trump confirmed his intention to conclude an agreement with Ukraine on the joint development of rare earth minerals.

He made the announcement during a public event in Washington, D.C., an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The US president said that, as they knew, the US was signing agreements in different places to release rare earth elements, minerals, and many other things around the world, especially in Ukraine.

He also emphasized that one of the things they were doing was planning to sign an agreement with Ukraine in the near future on rare earth elements.

In addition, on Thursday, it became known that the US President signed a decree to increase mineral production in the United States. The document is aimed at simplifying the mechanism for issuing permits for the development of mineral resources.

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine and the United States agreed to conclude an agreement that will provide for joint efforts to develop rare earth elements in our country. In this regard, Washington is also considering the potential presence of American companies in Ukraine as part of security guarantees.
