President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed strengthening Ukraine's air defenses and improving the staffing of combat brigades with Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
The President announced the meeting on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"We discussed which of the tasks set in the defense sector have already been implemented and what additional organizational changes, decisions, and agreements with partners could make Ukraine stronger. The key challenge in defense is, of course, bolstering air defense, particularly the protection of our cities and villages from Russian terror involving various types of drones. The transformation of all processes within Ukraine’s Defense Forces that can sustain the motivation of our warriors must also continue, along with efforts to ensure that combat brigades are properly staffed. We all understand the challenges," Zelensky said.
The President stressed the importance of strong leadership in the defense sector and thanked Fedorov for his technological initiatives and the innovations that had already been implemented.
