Russian missiles strike Kharkiv

Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

"At around four o'clock in the morning, the Russian occupiers struck Kharkiv twice. The missiles were launched from Belgorod, tentatively from an S-300 air defense system," he said.

Syniehubov said that an enemy missile hit the ground in the city's Kholodnohirskyi district.

Another Russian missile struck a civilian industrial facility in the Novobavarskyi district. The building was damaged. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties.

Syniehubov said that in the past day, the enemy shelled the Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Kharkiv and Izium districts of the region. Residential and commercial buildings were damaged. Another shelling of the city of Chuhuiv damaged the warehouses of an educational institution and a fire broke out.

A private house was on fire in the Zolochiv community. Firefighters put out the blaze.

Fighting continues on the contact line.

Ukrainian defenders continue to hold out and inflict losses on the enemy. In the Kharkiv direction, enemy forces attempted to advance towards Kochubeivka-Dementiivka, but their attack was repulsed and they retreated with losses.
