Britain will ensure Ukrainians can defend themselves – Sunak

 He wrote this on his official Twitter account on Monday, following the announcement of the most significant military aid package for Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

“We’re accelerating our support to Ukraine with the most significant UK package of combat power to date,” the British prime minister stressed.

He noted that his country is working intensively with allies and partners.

“We will ensure Ukrainians can defend themselves, press their advantage, win this war and secure a lasting peace,” Sunak wrote.

As Ukrinform reported, on Monday, Defense Minister of the United Kingdom Ben Wallace announced the most significant military aid package for Ukraine to accelerate its success in the war with Russia. At the same time, he told British MPs about the need to reinvest in the military.

According to Wallace, the new package will include a squadron of Challenger 2 tanks, AS90 guns, 100 armoured and protected vehicles, a manoeuvre support package, dozens more uncrewed aerial systems, 100,000 artillery rounds, hundreds more sophisticated missiles, including Starstreak air defence missiles.
