U.S. Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson stated that there is "no appetite" for passing another funding bill for Ukraine.

He made this remark on stage at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington on Thursday, as reported by a Ukrinform correspondent.

"Listen, there is no appetite for that," Johnson said in response to the host's question about whether he saw a possibility for passing another funding bill for Ukraine if the war dragged on.

The Speaker then turned the question to the audience, which loudly chanted "No!" in response.

However, the Republican Speaker noted that the war needs to be brought to an end. He also stated that European allies understand the necessity of doing so as well.

"President Trump is exactly right. It's time for it to end," Johnson added, stating that the U.S. President has the power to do so.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, U.S. intelligence has found no evidence that Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin is willing to engage in serious peace negotiations that do not align with his maximalist goals of capturing Ukraine. However, the U.S. media note that President Trump continues to trust the Russian dictator.
