At a virtual meeting of the “coalition of the willing” on Saturday, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer discussed plans for a “Western peacekeeping force” for Ukraine, consisting of more than 10,000 troops.

According to Ukrinform, The Times reports this with reference to informed officials.

According to the source, Starmer has received “much more support” for his plan than the three countries that initially offered to send part of their military.

Most likely, the bulk of these forces will consist of troops from the UK and France.

Among other things, a military source said that the final number of Western troops will be “more than 10,000.”

It is noted that about 35 countries have agreed to provide weapons, logistical and intelligence support for the mission in Ukraine.

In the event of a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, this should deter Russian leader Vladimir Putin from invading Ukraine again.
