Russia converts shipyards in Crimea into warehouses, repair sites – partisans

In Russian-occupied Crimea, the shipbuilding industry has collapsed following successful strikes by Ukraine's Defense Forces.

According to the Atesh partisan movement, which reported the situation on Telegram, Sevastopol's shipbuilding sector has completely deteriorated over the past year. Shipyards that once served Russia's military fleet have gradually been transformed into warehouses and repair sites for damaged equipment.

Following successful Ukrainian drone strikes, Russian forces have lost major contracts. Funding has been slashed, and whatever remains is embezzled before work even begins. Instead of building new ships, the facilities are now patching up damaged military equipment in an attempt to extend its service life.

"We continue monitoring all activities at Sevastopol's military plants, tracking every movement. All gathered intelligence is shared with Ukraine's Defense Forces, and every strike on the occupiers brings us closer to the moment when Russia's fleet is forced out of Crimea for good," the partisans said.

Russia's Black Sea Fleet has been forced to relocate nearly all combat-ready ships from occupied Crimea, rendering its main naval base increasingly ineffective due to Ukrainian attacks.
