As many as 707 people, including 30 children, have been rescued after the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant.

The Ukrainian Interior Ministry's press service reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"Some 707 people were rescued (including 30 children and 40 people with reduced mobility). Psychological assistance was provided to 378 people. Since the beginning of the work, the 101 rescue service has received 1,064 calls from citizens," the press service said.

As of June 12, 35 people were considered missing, including seven children.

On June 6, Russian troops blew up the dam of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant.
