The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Finance Ministry on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
In particular, in the first half of 2024, a total of USD 13.8 billion came as external financing. The European Union, Japan, Canada and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) were the largest donors of budget assistance during that period.
Additionally, Ukraine’s state budget received USD 6.4 billion (in the equivalent currency) from the placement of domestic government bonds in January-June 2024.
Last month the amount of external financing increased following a tranche of EUR 1.9 billion (more than USD 2 billion) from the EU under the Ukraine Facility instrument.
In June 2024, a total of USD 1.4 billion was raised towards the state budget from the placement of domestic government bonds.
Overall, since the Russian full-scale invasion started, Ukraine’s state budget has received USD 87.4 billion in international assistance and more than USD 29 billion from the placement of domestic government bonds.
A reminder that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved a disbursement of USD 2.2 billion to support Ukraine’s state budget.
