The United States will continue sharing defense-related intelligence with Ukraine, despite Russian President Vladimir Putin’s demand during a phone conversation with Donald Trump to halt this form of support.

White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt announced this during a press briefing in Washington on Wednesday, as reported by a Ukrinform correspondent.

“Intelligence sharing in terms of defense for Ukraine will continue,” Leavitt stated.

Her statement was in response to journalists’ questions about whether this form of support would persist after the Russian leader urged Trump to end it during their conversation on Tuesday.
