Despite Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin’s announcement of a “ceasefire,” Russian forces continue their offensive along the entire frontline, and Ukraine is sharing all relevant information about ceasefire violations with its international partners.

This was stated by Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha on social media platform X, according to Ukrinform.

“I just spoke with Ukraine's military command, who provided information about the frontline situation. Predictably, Putin's "Parade ceasefire" proves to be a farce,” said Sybiha.

According to the military data, Russia committed 734 ceasefire violations and 63 assault operations between midnight and noon, 23 of which are still ongoing. There were 586 attacks on Ukrainian positions, 464 of which involved heavy weaponry, 176 FPV drone strikes, and 10 airstrikes involving 16 guided bombs.

Ukraine is responding appropriately to all attacks, Sybiha stressed. He added that Kyiv is sharing full details of these ceasefire violations with the United States, the EU, European partners, other states, and international organizations.

“We will not let Putin fool anyone when he does not even keep his own word,” Ukraine’s top diplomat emphasized.

Sybiha reiterated Ukraine’s readiness for at least a 30-day complete ceasefire and confidence-building measures, which will enable peace talks and lead to a just and lasting peace.

Earlier, Putin had declared a ceasefire from May 8 to 10 to mark Russia’s Victory Day.

President Volodymyr Zelensky responded by saying that a ceasefire doesn’t require waiting until May 8, and could be implemented immediately.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, responding to Putin’s offer of a brief truce, stated that President Donald Trump wants a permanent ceasefire in Ukraine to end the bloodshed.
