War update: 173 combat engagements on front lines, fiercest fighting in Pokrovsk, Lyman, and Novopavlivka sectors

This was reported by Ukrinform, citing operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 22:00 on September 14, 2025, on Facebook.

“At present, a total of 173 combat engagements have taken place. Today, the terrorist state launched one missile strike and 52 airstrikes, used four missiles, and dropped 73 guided bombs. In addition, the invaders deployed 2,115 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,530 shelling attacks on our troops and populated areas,” the statement reads.

According to the General Staff, there were eight combat clashes with Russian forces in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors. The enemy carried out seven airstrikes, dropped 15 guided bombs, and launched 110 shelling attacks, including one using multiple launch rocket systems.

Today, the enemy attacked eight times in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector near Vovchansk and toward Odradne. Three combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk sector, the aggressor attempted to advance on Ukrainian positions eight times near the settlements of Nova Kruhliakivka, Kindrashivka, Kupiansk, and Stepova Novoselivka. Three enemy assaults are still underway.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 30 Russian attacks today, 11 of which are still ongoing. The enemy advanced toward Stavky and near the settlements of Shandryholove, Derylove, Kolodiazi, and Torske.

In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled eight enemy attacks. Russian units attempted to advance near Serebrianka, Hryhorivka, Dronivka, Vyimka, and Fedorivka. One combat clash is still in progress.

In the Kramatorsk sector, seven combat engagements took place near Stupochky and Oleksandro-Shultyne; fighting continues in two locations.

In the Toretsk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled seven enemy attacks today near Pleshchiivka, Katerynivka, and Stepanivka. Three combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the aggressor launched 39 attacks throughout the day on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Fedorivka, Nikanorivka, Myrnohrad, Rodynske, Sukhetske, Promin, Lysivka, Udachne, Novopidhorodne, Molodetske, Novoukrainka, Filiia, Dachne, Novoivanivka, and toward Novopavlivka. Ukrainian defenders repelled 38 attacks; one battle is still underway.

Preliminary estimates indicate that Russian forces lost 128 personnel killed or wounded in the Pokrovsk sector today. Ukrainian troops destroyed five vehicles and 18 unmanned aerial vehicles, and struck one multiple launch rocket system and one artillery piece.

In the Novopavlivka sector, Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 25 enemy attacks near the settlements of Maliivka, Tolstyi, Oleksandrohrad, Ternove, Berezove, Temyrivka, Komyshuvakha, and Olhivske. Seven combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Huliaipole sector, Defense Forces successfully repelled an enemy attack near Poltavka. The settlements of Bilohiria and Zaliznychne were hit by airstrikes.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy launched two assaults near Novoandriivka and Stepnohirsk.

In the Prydniprovske sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled five enemy assaults. Russian aircraft struck Olhivka with unguided aerial rockets.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, drones operated by Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) targeted a chemical facility in Russia’s Perm region.
