War update: 168 clashes along frontlines, Russian forces suffer heavy losses in Pokrovsk sector

Ukrinform reports this with reference to the Ukrainian General Staff’s operational update as of 22:00 on 27 October 2025.

“A total of 168 combat engagements have taken place since the beginning of the day. The invaders carried out 70 airstrikes, dropping 148 guided bombs. In addition, Russian forces deployed 2,635 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,065 shelling attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas,” the report states.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian troops repelled seven assault actions, with two engagements still ongoing. The enemy carried out ten airstrikes, dropping 24 guided bombs, and launched 149 shelling attacks, including three with multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, nine attacks occurred near Vovchansk, Bolohivka and toward Bochkovе.

In the Kupiansk sector, nine enemy assaults were repelled near Stepova Novoselivka, Zelenyi Hai and toward Pishchane.

In the Lyman sector, Russian troops launched nine assaults near Serednie, Myrne, Shandryholove, Nadiia and Zarichne, fighting continues in two locations.

In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy conducted six attempts to advance near Yampil, Serebrianka, Vyimka, Fedorivka and toward Zvanivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, one combat clash was recorded near Orikhovo-Vasylivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian forces attacked the Ukrainian positions 25 times near Oleksandro-Kalynove, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Yablunivka and Rusyn Yar.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian forces attempted 57 breakthroughs near Nykonorivka, Pankivka, Sukhеtske, Rodynske, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Molodetske, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novoukrainka and Horikhove. Fighting continues in several locations. Ukraine’s Defense Forces are holding the line. Russian losses in this sector include: 97 personnel neutralized (68 irrecoverable); two vehicles, one APC and an electronic warfare system destroyed; two MLRS, two armored fighting vehicles, one vehicle and another EW system damaged; five enemy personnel shelters struck.

In the Oleksandrohrad sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 14 assaults near Zelenyi Hai, Filiia, Piddubne, Oleksandrohrad, Novoselivka, Verbove, Oleksiivka, Novohryhorivka and Uspenivka; six engagements are ongoing.

In the Huliaipole sector, three enemy attacks were repelled near Malynivka and toward Novomykolaivka.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian invaders made four attempts to advance near Kamianske and toward Prymorske and Novoandriivka.

In the Prydniprovske sector, the enemy carried out four failed assaults, but retreated with heavy losses.
