President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine has neither the legal nor the moral right to cede its territories to Russia. The United States is working to find a compromise that will satisfy both sides.

The head of state announced this to journalists, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.

"Are we considering ceding any territories... We have no right under the law, under Ukrainian law, under our Constitution, under international law. We also have no moral right," he stressed.

The head of state noted that “Russia is definitely insisting that we give up territory.”

“We definitely do not want to give anything away. That is what we are fighting for. The Americans are looking for compromises today,” Zelensky said.

As reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the negotiators currently discussing the peace initiative mediated by the US have different views on the issue of territories in the east of the country.
