In Ukraine, 313 children have been killed and 579 more have been injured as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

"As of the morning of June 15, 2022, more than 892 children were killed or injured in Ukraine as a result of Russia’s full-scale armed aggression. According to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 313 children have been killed and 579 more have been injured," the Prosecutor General’s Office informs.

As noted, these figures are not final, as work is underway to establish casualties in the areas of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

Most children were affected in Donetsk region – 291, Kharkiv region – 169, Kyiv region – 116, Chernihiv region – 68, Luhansk region – 54, Kherson region – 52, Mykolaiv region – 48, Zaporizhzhia region – 30, Sumy region – 17.

In particular, on June 14, a baby was injured by enemy missile fragments in the town of Zolochiv, Lviv region.

On June 13, three children, aged 3 months, 11 and 17 years, were injured as Russians opened fire from Grad multiple rocket launchers on Pyatnytske and Malynivka, Chuhuiv district, Kharkiv region.

"While recording the criminal offenses, it became known that 25 more children aged 4 to 17 had been killed in Russian strikes and bombardments in Donetsk region from March to May. In particular, 21 children lived in Mariupol," the Prosecutor General's Office informs.

In particular, the whole family of the head of one of the city council departments with two girls aged 13 and 15 was killed as an enemy shell hit a building in Mariupol.

In May, the invaders fired on Lyman town, Kramatorsk district, Donetsk region. Four girls were killed.

Moreover, 48 children aged from 4 months to 17 years were injured in the Russian shelling of Mariupol.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, 1,985 educational institutions have been damaged, with 194 completely destroyed, in Russian attacks.
