The Ukrainian head of state announced this during a joint press conference with the chancellor, reports Ukrinform.
"Today alone, Russia launched 135 gliding bombs, each weighing about a tonne. That's a lot. No air defense system can cope with this. Comprehensive solutions are needed. And that's what Olaf and I talked about today. But some things need to be talked about quietly until issues are resolved," the president said without disclosing the details of the negotiations.

"I am grateful for the package of support from Germany, as well as for the allocation of the Patriot system, on which our team is already training. We highly appreciate the quality and accuracy of the IRIS-T system. Our teams have worked hard to speed up all processes so that we have these systems as soon as possible," added the president of Ukraine.
Zelensky emphasized that by providing air defense equipment, Germany has already saved thousands of Ukrainian lives from Russian terror.
