That’s according to U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, who spoke ahead of the meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine at the Summit on Peace in Ukraine, being held in Switzerland.
"President Biden and my support for the people of Ukraine is unwavering.We support Ukraine not out of charity, but because the people of Ukraine and their future is in our strategic interest," Harris said.
She emphasized that the US is interested in upholding international rules and norms, such as sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the international system “we helped create following World War 2."

Harris added that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are "resilient and effective fighting force, so admirably, one that has and will continue to impress the world”.
"This war remains an utter failure for Putin," she stressed.
