War update: Ukraine repels 176 Russian assaults over past day

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in an update published on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

According to the report, Russian forces carried out two missile strikes, using 25 missiles, and 74 airstrikes, dropping 122 guided aerial bombs on Ukrainian positions and populated areas. Additionally, they deployed 3,832 kamikaze drones and conducted 5,387 artillery attacks, including 56 from multiple launch rocket systems.

Russian airstrikes targeted several locations, including Lobkove, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, and Bilenke in the Zaporizhzhia region, Kozatske in the Kherson region, and the city of Sumy.

In response, Ukraine's missile forces and artillery struck five concentrations of Russian troops, weapons, and equipment, as well as two Russian artillery and missile assets.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna (Sumy region) and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian forces repelled 22 attacks. The enemy launched 318 shelling attacks and eight airstrikes involving 12 guided bombs.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna (Kharkiv region) sector, Russian troops unsuccessfully attempted six advances near Vovchansk, Kamianka, Stroivka, Zapadne, and Kutkivka.

In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven assaults in areas including Holubivka, Kupiansk, Pishchane, Zahryzove, Zelenyi Hai, and toward Bohuslavka.

In the Lyman sector, intense fighting saw 23 clashes as Russian forces attempted to advance near Novyi Myr, Karpivka, Kolodiazi, Yampolivka, Torske, and toward Serebrianka, Serednie, Shandryholove, and Hryhorivka.

In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled three attacks near Serebrianka, Verkhniokamianske, and Pereizne.

In the Kramatorsk sector, six enemy attacks were recorded near Bila Hora and toward Predtechyne.

In the Toretsk sector, 11 enemy attacks targeted Ukrainian positions near Dyliivka, Romanivka, Toretsk, Oleksandro-Kalynove, Novospaske, and toward Katerynivka and Pleshchiivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 57 Russian assaults near Popiv Yar, Volodymyrivka, Novotoretske, Mykolaivka, Udachne, Novoekonomichne, Lysivka, Zvirove, and in the direction of Novoukrainka, Pokrovsk, Dachne, Myrnohrad, and Maiak.

In the Novopavlivka sector, Ukrainian troops fought off 18 enemy attacks near Zirky, Piddubne, Myrne, Shevchenko, Dachne, and toward Novokhatske, Temyrivka, Oleksandrohrad, and Voskresenka.

In the Huliaipole sector, no combat clashes were reported.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian forces repelled three assaults near Kamianske.

In the Dnipro River sector, Russian forces made four unsuccessful attempts to advance.

In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of Russian offensive group formation were detected.
