Massive strike on Kyiv: 13 killed, injuries rise to 90, people still trapped under rubble

According to Ukrinform, Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko reported this on Telegram.

He said that damage was recorded across all districts of the city, with the most severe destruction affecting a residential building in the Darnytskyi district.

“Part of the building was literally wiped out. Search and rescue operations are ongoing there. People are still being searched for under the rubble, including a 15-year-old girl and her family,” Klitschko said.

Overall, 13 people have been killed and nearly 90 injured so far.

At an emergency medical station whose building was also damaged, nine ambulances were affected. Six employees of the station, including doctors and drivers, were injured.

Emergency services continue to operate at the scene, and crisis response centers are being set up across districts to assist victims.

Klitschko also noted that three injured children are currently hospitalized in Kyiv: a five-year-old girl, her one-year-old brother, and a 16-year-old girl.

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine’s air defense forces intercepted and neutralized 48 missiles and 476 drones of various types used in the Russian attack that began in the evening of July 1.
