This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of 18:00 on February 18, posted on Facebook.
"During the day, the Air Force of the Defense Forces launched four strikes on the enemy personnel and military equipment clusters. Two Kalibr cruise missiles were destroyed. At the same time, missile and artillery units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck an enemy manpower cluster," the report reads.
According to the General Staff data, the troops of the Russian Federation launched 16 missile strikes during the day, in particular on the civilian infrastructure of Khmelnytskyi city and the settlement of Ukrainsk in Donetsk region. Residential buildings were damaged, civilian casualties were reported.
The invaders also launched four airstrikes and more than 30 MLRS attacks during the day.
"The enemy does not give up its invasion plans despite significant losses. The main efforts are focused on conducting offensive operations in Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Shakhtarsk directions," the General Staff noted.
No enemy offensive groups were detected in Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna directions. The Russian army hit more than 20 settlements, including Veterynarne, Kozacha Lopan, Strilecha, Ohirtseve, Vesele, and Krasne Pershe in Kharkiv region.
In Kupyansk and Lyman directions, the invaders shelled Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Hrianykivka, Kupyansk, Berestove in Kharkiv region; Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Chervonopopivka, Dibrova, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Spirne in Donetsk region.
In Bakhmut direction, more than 18 areas of settlements, including Zaliznianske, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Kurdiumivka, and New York in Donetsk region, suffered from enemy strikes.
In Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, the Russians fired artillery at 13 areas of settlements, including Avdiivka, Vodiane, Vesele, Nevelske, Heorhiivka, Marinka, Bohoyavlenka, Velyka Novosilka, Zolota Nyva, Vuhledar, and Neskuchne in Donetsk region.
In Zaporizhzhia direction, the areas of Malynivka, Stepove, Mali Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Bilohirya in Zaporizhzhia region; Vremivka in Donetsk region were struck.
In Kherson direction, Kherson city and its suburbs, as well as the areas of more than 20 settlements, including Beryslav, Kozatske, Vesele, Antonivka, Veletenske, and Berehove in Kherson region, came under enemy artillery fire.
It has been established that the Russian troops fire artillery at the territories under their control to form a negative attitude towards Ukraine and discredit the Armed Forces of Ukraine among the civilian population in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region. Healthcare facilities, residential buildings, and educational institutions are struck.
