The Global Peace Summit participants reaffirm that International Law and the UN Charter must be the basis for establishing a just peace in Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated.

This is said in a post on the Ukrainian president’s Facebook page, Ukrinform reports.

“101 participants in Switzerland at the Global Peace Summit. We reaffirm together that International Law and the UN Charter must serve as the foundation for a just peace in Ukraine,” he said.

Zelensky emphasized: “The Ukrainian people have the right to defend their children, homes, and land. Together, we defend a world founded on the rule of law, to which we have all agreed. This is how we will move forward and avoid reverting to a darker past.”
