Foreign ministers of the Weimar Triangle+ countries, meeting in London on Monday, are set to hold a phone call with their U.S. and Turkish counterparts to discuss organizing peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia in Istanbul.

This was announced during a media briefing in Warsaw by Polish Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Paweł Wroński, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“At 13:45 (14:45 Kyiv time), a phone call will take place between the foreign ministers of Poland, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, as well as Türkiye and the United States, to discuss organizing the peace meeting and the overall peace process related to the Russia–Ukraine war,” Wroński said.

Türkiye has confirmed its willingness to host the negotiations, calling it a “window of opportunity” for achieving peace.
