President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this in an evening address to the nation, reports Ukrinform.
He stated that every day, Kharkiv suffers from Russian terror, and every day, the Ukrainian side emphasizes the need to destroy Russian warplanes that launch strikes targeting Ukrainian cities, communities and frontline positions.
He recalled that the recent authorization of strikes inside Russian territory near the border with Ukraine allowed for destroying part of Russia’s terrorist capacity – but only in part.
To fully protect people from Russian terror Ukraine needs more long-range capabilities, Zelensky stressed.
"And we are working on this with our partners – we are doing everything to bring the decision closer. In general, the next weeks of June and the first half of July should be no less productive for Ukraine than May and the first half of June," the president said.
He added that Ukraine had already seen a decision on more Patriot systems, and a follow-up is now being prepared as Ukraine is working “on the supply of more air defense systems”.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Netherlands and another nation are set to deliver to Ukraine another Patriot air defense system.
