This is reported by Ukrinform with reference to the Dutch Ministry of Defense.
“The 14 Leopard 2A4 tanks that the Netherlands and Denmark have bought for Ukraine will go to the war-ravaged country this summer. The main battle tanks have been refurbished and tested over the past few months. This was announced today by Minister Ruben Brekelmans,” the report reads.
It is noted that last year the Netherlands and Denmark purchased 14 Leopard 2A4 tanks. These were already used units that had been overhauled by Germany’s Rheinmetall.
“Ukraine can use tanks in the fight against the Russian aggressor,” the report states.
Yesterday and today the last two Leopard 2s are undergoing verification tests as part of the delivery. The first 12 tanks have already been delivered for shipment. All 14 tanks will be delivered simultaneously by the end of this summer.
"Ukraine urgently needs more military support, given the heavy fighting on the battlefield. These tanks can play an important role for the Ukrainian army to defend itself against the Russian troops. Together with allies and partners, the Netherlands will continue to support Ukraine for as long as necessary. This is crucial to protect Ukraine and keep Putin's aggression at bay," said Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans.
It is noted that the Leopard 2A4 can help Ukraine achieve heavy armor superiority on the battlefield. These tanks offer massive firepower and speed, also ensuring quality crew protection.
It is worth noting that the Netherlands is part of the international Tank Coalition, which supplies Ukraine with modern main battle tanks.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans said F-16 fighter jets from the Netherlands will arrive in Ukraine in the near future.
Also, the Netherlands earlier announced the government is allocating an additional EUR 300 million for the purchase of ammunition for F-16s to be handed over to Ukraine.
