General Staff confirms strikes on Russian command in Donetsk region

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

Confirmed strikes on enemy personnel, including command staff, were noted by the General Staff. They recalled that on September 8, Ukraine’s Defense Forces units carried out a complex fire strike on Russian military command posts in Donetsk region.

Using missile and artillery forces, the Air Force, and the UAV Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in coordination with other components of the Defense Forces, command posts of the Russian Center grouping of forces and the 41st Combined Arms Army of the Russian Ground Forces were struck. These formations are operating in the Pokrovsk sector.

Earlier, on August 28, Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov had visited the command posts in this area. Shortly after his visit, the locations of the Russian army’s command were successfully hit.

The General Staff emphasized that strikes on these military targets significantly disrupt the command and control of Russian armed forces units and subunits.

As reported by Ukrinform, a communications hub of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet was hit in temporarily occupied Crimea.
