Ukrainian drone forces destroy rare Russian ‘Zhitel’ EW station

The regiment’s press service reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

The R-330Zh Zhitel jamming communication station is an extremely rare and high-value target. Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the destruction of only 23 such systems has been visually confirmed.

The Zhitel is a complex, multifunctional system. According to its technical specifications, it can jam ground-based radio communications at ranges up to 25 km and airborne communications up to 50 km. The station can detect sources of radio emissions, determine their coordinates, and disrupt satellite communications, GPS navigation, and GSM base stations.

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukrainian defenders near Pokrovsk recently destroyed a Russian Kurier combat command vehicle for the first time.
