Ukrainian special forces strike behind enemy lines, destroy Russian unit and seize intel

According to Ukrinform, the SOF command reported this on Facebook.

“Operators from one of our Special Operations units conducted successful reconnaissance in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna sector. The SOF group crossed beyond Ukrainian frontline positions and covertly entered enemy-controlled territory,” the statement reads.

The SOF added: “After drone reconnaissance, the operators carried out direct actions repeatedly honed during training and prior missions. The group’s main firepower, the machine gunner, suppressed the enemy. The marksman, using optics, eliminated enemy personnel hiding with precise single shots. Another subgroup approached enemy positions closely and engaged them at close range.”

The Special Operations Forces emphasized that the disoriented and frightened enemy was completely destroyed. The SOF team seized enemy documents and communications equipment before successfully exfiltrating.

Previously, Ukrinform reported that in Donetsk region, Ukrainian Special Operations Forces destroyed a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group in Yampil, preventing further enemy advancement.
